Unable to checkin the photos uploaded to picture library in sharepoint.

Issue: unable to checkin the files which are uploaded and checked out to the user. The checked out file is visible only to the user and no one else can see them. How can this issue be resolved?

Solution: Please follow the below steps to check in the files. One of the possible reasons might be the mandatory feild not filled and we are trying to checkin that file.

1)Open the picture library, where the files are uploaded .

2)Go to Settings -> Picture Library settings page

3)Click on the link "Manage Files which have no checked in version"

4) Now all the files which are in checkout version will be listed .

5)Select the files which you want to take ownership by clicking the link "Take Ownership of the selection"  below.

6) Edit the properties for the checked out files and see whether all the mandatory fields are updated. other wise update or enter the values for all the mandatory fields and save them.

7)Finally, go to Site Actions -> Manage Content and Structure ->go to library and select the files and chekin them.
